Requirements:
Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting/Financial Management
1 – 3 years’ experience in Management Accounting and government finance processes and procedures.
Public Finance Management Act Treasury Regulations
Intensive knowledge and hands-on experience of Basic Accounting System (BAS)
Computer Skills, Administration Skills and Communication Skills.

Duties:
Support the Assistant Director and Senior State Accountant in Management accounting in the overall execution of their duties.
Assist in compiling the Medium term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Adjustment budget.
Responsible for In Year Monitoring Report Monthly Projections.
Assist to monitor the Department’s revenue and expenditure, and draft reports to management and Treasury, together with the daily authorisation of financial matters in line with delegated powers.
Cash management and administration on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Compile various reconciliation of accounts correction of misallocation by means of corrective journals.
Ensure compliance with the financial legislative framework and procedures and advises managers on financial matters.
Any other general task as allocated by the Assistant Director.

Notes:
The recommended candidate will be subjected to security clearance.
Qualifications will be verified (It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority-SAQA). Once appointed the successful candidate will be required to disclose his/her financial interest in accordance with the prescribed regulations.
