EASTERN CAPE: ONE STUDENT DIED ON IMPACT WHEN VEHICLE CRASHED INTO TREE
A matric after-party in East London had a tragic end on Saturday when a student was killed instantly when he crashed into a tree. Charles Bramwell, Deputy Leader of the Provincial Traffic Department, said the victim and two friends were on their way back from the after-party of their school ‘s matriculants when the accident occurred.
“The accident happened Saturday, around 03:00 at the Southern Wood crossing.”
It is said that the 14-year-old driver, took his father’s vehicle without permission. One of the passengers were killed on impact of the accident. The driver and one passenger sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital.
In another accident, 2 people were also killed on Saturday in an accident about 8km from Dordrecht in Queenstown.
