Early yesterday morning EMER-G-MED’s RV7, V02 and A08 responded to reports of an MVA on the N14 close to Weirda Road, in Centurion.
On arrival paramedics found that a car had rolled off the highway and into a stormwater drain, leaving the driver entrapped within the wreckage, sustaining moderate injuries.
The driver told Paramedics that he had been trapped in his vehicle for over 2 hours, alleging that the collision had happened just after 3am.
The City Of Tshwane Fire Department was called in to extricate the patient from the wreckage using the “jaws of life”. Once freed the driver was transported to a nearby medical facility for further assessment.
TMPD were on the scene to investigate accordingly.
