A boy, believed to be 10-years-old, was left critically injured this afternoon after he was hit by a light motor motor vehicle at the corners of Olivenhout and Albertina Sisulu Road in Bosmont, west of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the young patient lying in one of the smaller roads next to the intersection. On assessment, paramedics found that the boy had sustained serious injuries to his head, chest and his abdomen, leaving him in a critical condition.
Paramedics immediately began their treatment and initiated numerous advanced life support interventions in order to stabilise his vital signs.
Once treated, the patient was transported under advanced life support supervision to Johannesburg General Hospital for urgent treatment.
The vehicle in question was apparently not found on the scene. Local authorities were on scene for further investigations
