A collision involving seven vehicles occurred earlier this morning on the N14 near the Trichardt off ramp in Pretoria. The collision involved two taxis and five light motor vehicles. The road was wet due to rain and it is believed that the vehicles lost control on the wet road.
When ER4 paramedics arrived on scene they found that all the patients were already out of the vehicles. After assessment it was found that all the injuries that were sustained ranged form minor to moderate.
Fortunately, no fatalities or critical injuries were sustained. ER24 treated and transported four patients to Mediclinic Meulmed and Kalafong Hospital for further treatment.
The remaining patients were treated and transported by other medical services on scene. Traffic was affected, but lanes were opened and traffic is now flowing. The cause of the collision remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
